"Phishing" and "Spear-phishing" e-mail scam volume still high - be vigilant

We are continuing to get multiple examples of e-mail "phishing" scams on campus. Most are directed in groups of 20-30 faculty/staff in the hopes of going unnoticed. Remember, if you get an e-mail asking you to submit your login account and password in order to keep using your account it is a scam. TLU IT will never do that!

Also be mindful of attachments that arrive from sources you don't expect with leading subjects like "invoice" or some kind of "prize". While our anti-virus does catch many of these, it is not foolproof.

If you are unsure about something, please feel free to forward to ishelp@tlu.edu. Remember, it takes everyone to help keep TLU secure!
