Description

This course is designed to increase students’ awareness of the nature and variety of career opportunities for psychology majors and to prepare them for entry into the workforce and graduate or professional school. A significant portion of the course will require introspection as students engage in assessments and reflective writing to explore their personality, values, strengths, and career interests. They will also develop discipline-specific communication skills for professional writing and presentations. Students will learn about resources and strategies for career development, and gain valuable skills in resume writing, interviewing, and professional networking that result in their own portfolio of professional materials. Prerequisites: PSYC 131.
