Addresses the historical, contemporary, and global perspectives on the role of nursing in society, professional nursing roles, and regulatory requirements within the context of contemporary healthcare delivery systems. Emphasis is on ethical and legal foundations of nursing, selected nursing theories, and standards of nursing practice to guide the student in development of professional nursing practice.
