This course examines how gender and sexuality impact groups of individuals differently within various social institutions. Social institutions are structures in society that work to socialize groups of people within them, including government, the legal system, education, the labor market, and families. We will focus on how gender and sexuality are mutually constructed and how they intersect with other important identities
