Description
This course is designed to learn through problem solving rather than learn for problem solving. The problems that will be presented cannot be answered immediately. During class time problem sets will be given to the students. The problems will be compelling enough to keep students engaged in the problem, and interesting enough that the students will persevere. Group discussion and debate will be inevitable. Student will be required to continue their work on the problems outside of class. Students will be expected to present their solutions or progress to the class for critique of their reasoning.
