Registration placeholder for Chemistry 179 and 143. During the first two days of class, students will complete a placement worksheet and learn about the two chemistry course options that are available. After deciding which class will most likely ensure their success, for the remainder of the semester students will take either a) a class that focuses on the methods to effectively learn how to solve problems in chemistry and the related sciences (Chemistry 179) or b) a mathematically intense class that focuses on introductory topics in chemistry and their applications (Chemistry 143).
