An analysis of the Civil Rights Era as a time of controversy within American Christianity. Students will compare the diverse theological orientations of the various participants in this controversy: from nonviolent Civil Rights activists to white "moderates" to white terrorists to Black Power leaders. Students will reflect on what this theological history means for Christians confronting social injustice today. Als
