A laboratory-based course focused on the introduction to principles of research techniques with an emphasis on experiemental and applied physics. Topics include: vacuum technology, automation of analog and digital data acquisition with a variety of instrumentation, all with emphasis on skill acquisition and technical communication. Prerequisite: PHYS 334 and PHYS 371.
