This module is an opportunity to examine social movements focused in the African American community. Martin Luther King Jr. gave speeches, led boycotts, and went to jail for his beliefs. In 2016, writers like Shaun King, Tim Wise, and other intellectuals write articles and give two minute thought provoking analytical statements that rally people together. Is this as effective? As a group we will discuss articles, stories, media clips, communi
