Join Professor Emeritus Dr. Saul Sanchez and the Mexican American Student Association in the ASC on April 23 from 3 to 4 p.m. for a book signing of his memoir Rows of Memory: Journeys of a Migrant Sugar-Beet Worker. Dr. Sanchez served as associate professor of Spanish and French at TLU from 2002 until his retirement in 2008. He was also the Modern Languages Department Chair from 2003 to 2008. After leaving TLU, Dr. Sanchez began collecting and organizing material to write his memoir. In 2010, the original manuscript, written entirely in Spanish, was completed. In October 2012, the University of Iowa offered him a contract for the English translation. Dr. Sanchez would like to thank the staff at Blumberg Memorial Library for their support on this project. The book will be available for purchase from the bookstore and refreshments will be provided.
