COVID-19 Daily Campus Update for Friday, March 27

Here is the latest information and reminders for TLU faculty, staff, and students for Friday, March 27:

Information specific to students and parents:

  • Moving out of residence halls: We recognize that many of our students live in cities and counties where there are stay-at-home directives, so they are unable to return to campus at this time. We will work with these students on a case-by-case basis to hold their belongings until they are able to come to campus. For questions on the move-out schedule or making alternative arrangements if you are in a stay-at-home area, please email reslife@tlu.edu
  • Room and board adjustments. We know students and parents are concerned about room and board payments. We are working with a sense of urgency on a plan for the adjustment for room and board payments that will be shared next week with students and parents.
  • Academic Advising: Advising starts Monday, March 30, and will last until April 8. Expect emails from your department chair or advisor with additional guidance.

Information specific to faculty and staff:

  • Please be on the lookout for an email from Human Resources Director Toi Turner regarding a Department of Labor notice and benefit reminders related to the current working environment. We will also be providing "Essential Employee Authorization to Travel" letters for faculty and staff who need to come to campus.

We are working to organize a list of reminders and FAQs on tlu.edu/semc so it is easier to keep up with the most recent information. If you have questions that have not been addressed, please email them to semc@tlu.edu

Stay safe, be well, and have a great weekend!
